Woot! I just did something good at work! :) It wasn't all that difficult really, but the boss lady said, "Good! At least somebody understands this!". It took me about an hour of reading through the damn software manual, but I did good work. I'm not a failure yet! Yessss!
Don't you love how stupid you act when you get praise about ridiculous stuff at work. It's a like a dog that does a dumb trick but is so happy when you say "good boy".
I guess the praise was magnified by the fact that I just started this job and there is a lot of stuff I don't know yet. This is only my second week here. :)
I work at a library at a law firm. Basically, the person who did my job before me catalogued a set of books (18 volumes) under 1 listing. My boss says that she had a problem using the library software correctly so she would cheat and put stuff under 1 listing..even if there were 18 volumes. I basically had to fix that and create 17 more listings. It sounds easy enough, but just figuring out the software is the hard part. Making the listings themselves is simple.
Its not a great read, but not terrible either. "Introduction to United States Government Information Sources". Some of it is not as dry as drift wood.
Good luck with your portfolio and the Gallery tonight. I can't wait to see you there. :)
*salutes cavutto* in honor of your good work and manual-reading, we offer you this *gives cavutto a cookie* be proud, soldier. dude man, i'm just joking. lol.
