I didn't eat the goo separately and it was kind of hard to differentiate its taste from the rest of the cookie. If I was blind I would say that I had eaten a chocolate chip cookie with stale gumdrop inards. ??? Sorry, this is a tough one.
Geez man, I think you have me stumped I was thinking about goo balls, you know the ones and the goey substance they have but I dunno, sorry i couldn't help!
That's the thing, I'm usually very picky about foods and I never (rarely) try new things, but sometimes food just looks so benign and possibly tasty that I just want to try it.
It didn't really melt in my mouth I think. Like I said, there was also a lot of surrounding cookie matter and it was hard to distinguish the exact characteristics of the goo. It was definitely kind of solid/chewy.
It is ok if the cookie develops color and the edges look crispy, It should not make them overly hard at all. This cookie will have a very rich crunchy outside, and a very soft/chewy middle.
Let the cookies gain some color, because what you want is an even brownish tone, crispy edges, and even tops, with a gooey, soft/chewy center.
Does this come close? It's a recipe.
