Casualty Friday

Yeah, I totally stole the title of this blog from 'Get Fuzzy'.  What'cha gonna do about it?  Needless to say, Billy Joel kicked major ass last night.  Unfortunately I got home way too late and I'm paying the price for my minor discretions this morning.  I think elevators make me fart.  Maybe something about the rapid change in elevation?  Anyways, the second to last song was 'Scenes From an Italian Restaurant' so that totally made my night.  The whole show was sorta a greatest hits collection.  He played all the stuff I wanted to hear and even a few songs that I didn't (River of Dreams, We Didn't Start the Fire).  Yep.  (Yep?) Yep.  Apparently I like to confirm what I just said.

There are two times when I went to work after a night of shenanigans. Both were horrendous.

Billy Joel is great. I mean, he's put out some really, really shitty songs in his day, but when he's on, he's ON. I think my favorite song by him is 'Pressure'. Not a lot of people like it, but I think it rocks.

Dude, he played Pressure and it rocked!  The lighting was amazing for that song.  Here's a list of the songs I remember hearing...besides the ones already mentioned

Allentown, Zanzibar, Piano Man, Goodnight Saigon, Downeaster Alexa, New York State of Mind, Only the Good Die Young, Big Shot, Movin' Out, Still Rock and Roll to Me, Vienna, Captain Jack....

As I recall more songs I'm gonna edit them into the list...ellipses...

Yeah, and the consolation for my discretions came in the form of eggs, bacon, sausage and a blueberry muffin courtesy of the firm.  That break room yeilds many treasures.
