Friday Rock

Ba-dum-duh-de-duuuuuunnnnn....very superstitious. Gotcha bitch. This morning is starting off ba-dum-duh-de-duuuuuunnnn...very unpernicious. I was thinking it would be a total slick and icy mess out, but it's not even all that cold and it's mostly all slush. Thanks a lot, Jesus. I wasn't really banking on a snow-day or anything, but another long weekend would've been thuper. So, it's Friday morning. I know it's a little early in the day to bring rock and roll to blogs4me...it is Friday, right? Anyone making strong moves tonight? Taking it to the streets? I'm not going to be rock and rolling tonight. Lately I've been big band swing 'n jazz for some reason. Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller...Fatty Fat Face Walker (Ain't Misbehaven!) Friggin' great stuff there. I heard a really awesome Dorsey Orchestra w/ Sinatra tune a few nights ago...you woulda totally flipped Joe. It was pretty much spectacular.

Dorsey and Sinatra are pretty good, but I always felt like Sinatra was kind of watered down then. Maybe that's why Willie Morretti stuck a gun in Dorsey's mouth, which eventually bought Frank's contract out for a whopping $1. Sound familiar? Think Godfather. Either way, I should get my hands on more big band stuff.

Glenn Miller is the best. Did you know he was a WWII pilot and was shot down? Why don't more stars go to war? Cripes.
